Sonja Lachenmayr, born in 1992, studied the Bachelor´s courses choir conducting at the University of Music and Theatre Munich and vocal-jazz at the University of Music Nuremberg. She started her musical career at the age of five with the instruments harp, piano and later on trombone.
Through internships und projects with the Bavarian Radio Choir and Radio Orchestra, the Madrigal Choir of the University of Munich, the London Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Kent Nagano and masterclasses with the Rias Chamber Choir in Berlin and the choir of the Dutch Radio in Hilversum she has gained deep musical and artistic experiences so far.
Recently she directed chamber opera performances of Humperdinck´s "Hansel und Gretel" in the region of Munich.
Currently she is studying the Master´s programm choir conducting with Prof. Andreas Hermann und Prof. Michael Gläser in Munich and she will finish her studies in summer term 2019.
